Böhringer Ingelheim VRC - Silo- and feeding system

commissioning:

Dezember 2012

requirement:

For the construction of a research institute for vaccines, an automatic system for the feeding of animals should be planned and delivered. High standards of hygiene, explosion protection, personal security, and traceability presented a special challenge.

solution:

Mühlenbautechnik Bruckmann GmbH developed a coherent approach, which included all the required properties. 12 GFK- storage silos with a total capacity of 156m³ feed, the weighing of the feed as well as the pneumatic transport of the batches to the kennels were the end product. The electrical switching and control system offers simple and flexible operation, so that the entire system can be controlled with 2 portable tablet PC’s

benefit:

The system allows operators a fully automated system operation 365 days a year, 24 hours a day. The expense for the keepers was thus reduced to a minimum.
